Hello Friend, I had debated about whether to start with this topic, but ultimately I chose to (obviously). My reasoning is this: I have worked with many clients, and their greatest strides and accomplishments occur once they grasp this principle. The technique I’m about to share, Meta-Cognition, is a closely guarded secret of powerful leaders, psychologist, and masters.
Here me for a moment, this discipline is the very essence of power. It is the beginning of controlling your entire life…
Meta-Cognition is essentially when one thinks about his/her thinking patterns. It is a discipline that provides us with a great tool. Often, our emotions, thoughts and moods go unchecked. It’s like being in a river and allowing the current to do what it will with you.
The practice of meta-cognition places awareness over the mind’s unending activities. Like an over-seer watching the activities of those beneath, this discipline allows a person leverage over his/her thoughts. In moments of great challenge, it is easy to fall into a more negative mindset. In practicing meta-cognition, there is a quiet halt to the emotional cascade, and a drop of logic is introduced.
This logical, rational and self-aware thought would consider the events and thoughts creating ES. It would question the purpose of ES. Like all important things the practice of meta-cognition is easier said than done, but the proper use of this discipline grants us control in moments where we need it most. It can halt the worsening of an event, memory, thought etc. just long enough to bring everything back into the proper perspective.
Metacognition can create balance when there is none. A person who practices meta-cognition can possess absolute power over emotional stress and essentially master their life.
Practice Metacognition my friend. You will see powerful changes take place.
